Daniel Rowen, M.A., M.H.C.
IFT Therapist

Daniel Rowen, M.A., M.H.C., holds a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch College, a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Biopsychology from William Paterson University, and a secondary education teaching certification.  For the past five years he has trained with Jeff Cohen in the theory and practice of Integrated Feeling Therapy.  Daniel believes that one of the most important aspects of working with emotional and mental health is the level of trust.  The trust that develops between the therapist and the client opens up the doorway for deeper understanding and the potential to change.  Daniel walks hand-in-hand with his clients as they explore their feelings and thoughts and body sensations pertaining to past and present experiences in their lives.  As clients explore and connect with all aspects of the mind-body system, they will find their strength and authenticity. Understanding the importance of balancing emotional, mental, and physical aspects of life, Daniel incorporates healthy eating, physical fitness, meditation and positive psychology into his practice.  A 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and an avid athlete, Daniel enjoys hiking, P90X workouts, and yoga.  Cooking and spending time with his family round out his day, as Daniel and his wife are the proud parents of a  little girl, and believe that conscious parenting starts before conception and continues during, and after birth.
